On the evening of January 20th, 2023, the “2023 Australia Chinese New Year Gala” was grandly held at the Star Sydney. The event was jointly organised by the Swan Culture & Media Group and the Alice In Wendyland Charity Limited , and undertaken by the organising committee of the “Australia Spring Festival Gala”, with co-organisation by the Australia China Cultural and Economic Promotion Association. There were more than 600 performers and over 2,000 audience members. Mr. Zheng Zhiwu, the president of the Australia China Cultural and Economic Promotion Association, participated in the event as the vice chairman of the organising committee, and led a team to attend. He also served as a representative to auction the Finance Minister’s signed wine provided by Swan Estate, successfully raising 12,000 Australian dollars for ping-pong diplomacy to promote cultural exchange between Australia and China.
